LAOAG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
A hallmark of the fast progressing city is the Laoag International Airport. The former Gabu Airport, principally a domestic airport, was transformed to international status after its massive renovation to accommodate international jumbo planes. It used to be an alternate of NAIA in Manila. To date, direct flights from other countries like Hongkong, Taiwan and some state of the United States like Hawaii land at the airport regularly.
